Course Description

This course is designed to help your transition into college or university level secondary English courses. Gain an understanding of what it is to go to school in Ontario and further develop your English reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students will be encouraged to develop independence in a range of academic tasks. Students will be introduced to different topics in each unit and will be provided with a variety of learning materials, including texts, stories, videos, audios, etc. Students will read and analyze literary works; watch videos; complete homework, tasks and their portfolio; and apply a range of learning strategies and research skills effectively.
